Tools — Client-Side Processing

The vast majority of CodeCanvas tools (JSON formatter, hash generator, color picker, etc.) run entirely in your browser. No data from these tools is sent to our servers. Your code, text, and files never leave your device for non-AI tools.

AI Tools

AI-powered tools (Font Detector, Code Explainer, Bug Finder, Code Converter) send your input to Groq's API for processing. Groq's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API. We do not store AI inputs on our servers.

Cookies and Sessions

We use a single session cookie (cc_session) to keep you logged in. This is a functional cookie required for the dashboard and bot management features. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies on tool pages.

Data Retention

• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Session tokens — expire after 30 days
• Bot messages — retained for 90 days then automatically deleted
• Page view analytics — retained for 1 year (anonymized)

Children's Privacy

CodeCanvas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
